Growing up as a dancer and playing sports, Carissa has always had a love of movement. She began practicing yoga in high school after a car accident left her unable to finish out the sports season, and discovered Pilates shortly after. Carissa is a 200 hour registered yoga instructor through Yoga Alliance and a comprehensively certified Pilates instructor through Balanced Body. She is also a certified TRX instructor and a Reiki Master. She is always continuing her education in these modalities and tailors her sessions to suit the specific needs of her clients while reflecting the Pilates methodology. She has been working with clients in both therapeutic and studio settings as well as teaching dynamic group classes since 2013.
