Nate Hagen
My passion for fitness began in high school as a dedicated rock climber. Upon moving to Santa Cruz, I expanded my athletic repertoire by diving into calisthenics and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. My enthusiasm for training deepened as I discovered the incredible potential of the human body, mastering advanced skills such as one-arm pull-ups, handstands, handstand push-ups, front levers, splits, and various other bodyweight techniques.
However, the journey was not without its challenges. I have dealt with several significant injuries, including ACL and meniscus tears, low back injuries, a pulled hamstring, and recurrent ankle sprains. These setbacks initially limited my training, but they also fueled my determination. By integrating physical therapy techniques with athletic training, I successfully rehabilitated my knees and lower back, ultimately strengthening them beyond their original state—all without the need for surgery.
I am committed to sharing my expertise and blending my experience as an athlete with proven methods for the general population to help you achieve your desired goals. By focusing on injury prevention, athletic performance, essential strength exercises, mobility, and flexibility, I will guide you toward developing a well-rounded body that is both strong and resilient. If you’re working towards overcoming an injury, increasing athletic performance, or simply building muscle and becoming stronger, I am ready to aid you in your journey and fuel your passion for fitness.
